Meet the team

Aleks MRCVS, Veterinary Surgeon

Aleks graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and came to practice in the UK in early 2016.

Being one of our resident Lakeview veterinary team since the Summer of 2016, Aleks has very much enjoyed becoming a well known face in the Deal community, due to his passion for always managing to fit in his regulars for a last minute appointment, going the extra mile for any pet together with welcoming new clients who visit him through word of mouth.

In 2018 Aleks achieved the enviable higher qualification of a GP Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, meaning that a lot of the more complex surgical procedures many vets would refer away to other places, Aleks can treat and mend at Lakeview Vets.

Being an OV Practioner means Aleks is available to give advice and issue passports/export certificates to small animal companions wanting to travel.

Aleks next ambition is to take his surgical abilities one step further! Watch this space!

When Alek is not taking care of the patients at Lakeview, he enjoys outdoor activities, travelling, exploring and going for long rambles with his rescue dog Bailey - also a very loved permanent fixture at the surgery.

Shahar MRCVS, Veterinary Surgeon

Shahar became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and came to practice in the UK in 2015 where he chose Kent as his base to treat sick pets.

Joining our permanent team at Lakeview in 2017, Shahar's current interest is surgery where he's nearing the end of his studies to join Aleks in being a GP Certificate holder in Small Animal Surgery. Aside from his superior talent in the operating theatre, Shahar also has an interest in ultrasound and is a very experienced general practitioner, making him an extremely popular vet with the large quantity and varied specie of pets we treat.

Away from the surgery Shahar enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with his own furry companion, Alex.

Rita, Head Nurse

Rita joined DNA Vetcare in July 2017 and has worked with animals her whole life! She trained in kennel management and dog beautician work before going on to qualify in July 1979.

Outside of work she enjoys taking Tizz for walks, outdoor life and horse riding.

Penny joined us in March 2007 as a receptionist and has since taken on the role of administrator and liaising with Animal Health.

She has been involved with horses for many years.

Penny enjoys her garden and spends many hours working outdoors.
